DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
- About You
- You are an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC) Engineer with a minimum of 3 years’ experience across the various SFMC Studios and Builders. You can do the work to build Automations, Journeys and you are familiar with AMPscript, SQL, Email HTML and CSS. You want to take your SFMC experience to the next level by learning the skills and techniques that turn an Engineer into an Architect. You are naturally inquisitive, seeking to understand how your work fits into what exists today and what could be needed tomorrow.
- Essential Job Functions
- Work with the rest of the SFMC team to create effective marketing communications and execute on marketing touchpoints.
- Set-up complex Triggered Sends, Automations, and Journeys in Marketing Cloud.
- Automate data feeds and triggers between other platforms and the SFMC stack.
- Audit current Queries, Automations, Triggers and Journeys and suggest optimizations.
- Create excellent Documentation that showcases your (and TA’s) attention-to-detail and commitment to the clients’ long-term success.
- Take part in (and later lead) project implementations, utilization, integrations, and architecture of Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
- Participate in development planning and strategizing that will be presented to client executives.
- Identify the best option(s) and their pros and cons for a given problem by taking into considering the clients’ needs, industry best practices and the nuances of the SFMC platform.
- Utilize REST and SOAP API calls to automate manual processes.
- Required Experience
- You are comfortable strategizing, troubleshooting and solutioning on live calls.
- You have one or more Salesforce Marketing Cloud Platform certifications.
- You have applied (hands-on) experience in SFMC development, customization, and/or integrations.
- You understand database and data storage and retrieval theories including advanced SQL.
- You understand how to create REST API calls (payloads) to automate manual processes and how to prototype, test and help our technical partners integrate with our systems.
- You have expertise reading and writing complex AMPscript.
- You have experience using data to find solutions to problems in a business environment.
- You have excellent communication skills and ability to convey complex ideas in an understandable way.
- You are self-directed – you can take a batch of assigned work (sprint) and plan the work in such a way as to deliver the committed work within the confines of the sprint, collaborating with the Project Managers to clarify priority.
- You are a creative problem-solver. You don’t necessarily know every answer, but you know how to Google and how to tell the difference between a good answer and a bad answer or how to take someone else’s example and adapt it for your needs.
- You’re all-in for our clients. When our clients succeed, we succeed. We deal with smart, driven clients who rely on us for expertise and our ability to deliver good, quality, clean, resilient work and then to own and maintain it.
- You are an owner. We don’t build things and push them out of the nest. We craft solutions designed to persist for the long-haul, monitoring their ongoing health and imagining ways to improve, enhance or extend the value of what we’ve already put into production with documentation that itself embodies the ThomasARTS art+science philosophy.
- This can be a full-time salaried or contract role and candidates across all U.S. locations (fully remote or in-office in UT, NY, or DC) will be considered.
- Here at TA we welcome and embrace diversity. All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, sex, color, religion, national origin, protected veteran status, and on the basis of disability.
