DESCRIPTION/REQUIREMENTS
  • ABOUT THE ROLE
    • A Marketing Technology Architect for our Marketing Architecture & Automation Practice is a strategic position to our customers. The Marketing Technology Architect defines technical solutions to help our customers realize their evolving marketing strategies to improve their current state and address their future growth and scale.
       
  • ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
    • Work as part of an overall delivery team to produce a stellar customer experience.
    • Design high quality business solutions for marketing automation platforms and/or tools (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Airship, Iterable, etc.).
    • Play a technical role in evaluating new business feature requests, considering the customer’s current and future-state marketing technology landscape.
    • Ability to guide product selection and/or marketing technology stack roadmaps for Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Braze, Airship, Iterable, etc.
       
  • REQUIRED
    • 6+ years architecting for customer experience.
    • High-level, working knowledge of key digital marketing capabilities – customer identity/context, data management, marketing analytics, marketing automation and orchestration, decision engines/offer engines/personalization, multi-channel activation, customer engagement.
    • Experience with auditing and assessing the maturity of a customer’s marketing technology stack and ability to provide improvement recommendations.
    • Experience with designing marketing technology stack transformation roadmaps for scale.
    • Experience with MarTech stack optimization and consolidation.
    • Experience with complex data structures, data modeling and databases (typical marketing data and data structures). Ability to provide best practice guidance on data management and integrations (APIs, file-drops, etc.).
    • Demonstrated track record in learning new technologies quickly.
    • Experience leading discoveries, gathering technical requirements, and executing a solution based on system best practices, platform limitations, and client ability to maintain.
    • Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and interactive when online.
       
  • PREFERRED
    • Understanding of agile practices and associated tools (JIRA, Azure DevOps, or similar).
    • General understanding of key digital marketing trends.
    • Experience with recommending marketing technologies and vendor selection.
    • Other key marketing capabilities – content management, enriching customer context on-demand and in real-time, data privacy.
       
  • KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
    • A proactive personality, with a can-do attitude.
    • Ability to demonstrate concepts visually and in writing in a way that enables customers to decide with confidence.
    • A strategic approach to solution design, with proven ability to develop and execute tactical plans to support the strategy.
    • Ability to travel up to 25%.
       
  • SALARY AND OTHER COMPENSATION
    • The annual salary for this position is between $100,290 - $155,850 depending on experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate. This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
